Updates to Chapters!
New York and Seattle
Two new updates to previous chapters on Profane Art:
New content describing the Alliance of Figurative Artists in New York and the Artists’ Choice Museum, introducing work by Philip Pearlstein and Paul Georges. This is still a stub that I will be expanding to show the work of numerous artists as I have time to review, but I was aided in my research by William Elston’s mentioning of the content in the Smithsonian Archives and subsequent interview.
New content describing the education of Juliette Aristides and her move to start the atelier program in Seattle after my first interview with her. The founding of the atelier tradition including Richard Lack and Ives Gammell will be another chapter for sure!
